Justification:
Segmentina distinguenda has been assessed as Least Concern because of its wide distribution across Europe and into Central Asia. Although there is little information available on this species, and the potential threats to this species are unknown, it is unlikely that threats are affecting the species significantly throughout its wide range. However, further research and monitoring is needed to fill some of the knowledge gaps on this species and to detect any population or habitat quality declines at an early stage.
