Very little data available for this assessment. The species is believed to be endemic to Angola and but may also be in Namibia as it is known from the Cunene River. The species is probably not threatened as the area is sparsely inhabited, but more information is needed on the species distribution before a full assessment can be made. It is listed as Data Deficient.
