Kingdom Phylum Class Order Family
Animalia Chordata Actinopterygii Perciformes Cichlidae

Scientific Name: Tylochromis trewavasae Stiassny, 1989
Taxonomic Notes: Additional topotypical material from the Meme River has been examined but does not appear to be conspecific with holotype of Tylochromis trewavasae. Based on morphometric measurements and meristic counts, the other Meme specimens fall within the range of T. sudanensis and are tentatively assigned to that species.
