Range Description:Tylochromis aristoma is known from the Tshuapa and Lukuga Rivers, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is also known from the Luilaka River in the Salonga National Park (Stiassny, M., pers. comm). The distribution extends throughout the whole Salonga area (Stiassny, M., pers. comm.).
