Justification:
Gephyroglanis habereri is only known from the type specimen from Dja River. In the unpublished PhD thesis of Risch, L (1986), he states that Gephyroglanis gymnorhynchus is a synonym of Chrysichthys congicus. A more detailed understanding of the taxonomy of this species is needed before it can be assessed.
