Justification: This species is commonly confused with A. aureum, and the limits of its distribution are not well-known. However, as it appears to have a wide distribution range and occurs in similar areas where A. aureum is found it is presumably not under any threat and hence it is listed as Least Concern. More research is needed on this species distribution, population status, habitat requirements and threats. |

| Systems: | Terrestrial; Freshwater; Marine |
| Major Threat(s): | There are no known threats to this species. It is often confused with A. aureum which is a threat to other mangrove systems, and in disturbed mangrove systems this species can take over and is difficult to eradicate. |
| Conservation Actions: | There are no conservation measures specific to this species, but its range may include some marine and coastal protected areas. More research is needed on this species distribution, population status, habitat requirements and threats, as it is not-well known and is often confused with A. aureum. |
