Assessment Information [top]

Red List Category & Criteria: Least Concern ver 3.1
Year Published: 2010
Date Assessed: 2008-03-07
Assessor(s): Duke, N.
Reviewer(s): Polidoro, B.A., Livingstone, S.R. & Carpenter, K.E. (Global Marine Species Assessment Coordinating Team)
Justification:
This species is commonly confused with A. aureum, and the limits of its distribution are not well-known. However, as it appears to have a wide distribution range and occurs in similar areas where A. aureum is found it is presumably not under any threat and hence it is listed as Least Concern. More research is needed on this species distribution, population status, habitat requirements and threats.
