| Systems: | Freshwater |
| Major Threat(s): | Tourism on Iriomote Island is a potential cause of habitat degradation, and is therefore a threat to S. imperiorientis; boat trips are currently operating on the Nakama River. |
| Conservation Actions: | The whole of Iriomote Island is within the Iriomote National Park (IUCN category V) and is designated a Forest Ecology Conservation Area, however this does not provide much protection for A. imperiorientis and possibly adds to the potential for tourism to affect the species. |
