Although population densities are high and the populations are stable, this species has a restricted range and populations are vulnerable to habitat deterioration. Such deterioration is ongoing, caused by invasive plant species such as Cinnamomum verum. This snail's EOO has been estimated to measure 300 km² and its AOO is estimated at 25 km². It is found in 6 locations.

Geographic Range [top]

Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology:Restricted to high forest from 500-900 m, this species is found in leaf litter on the ground and in epiphytes.
Continuing decline in area, extent and/or quality of habitat:Yes

Threats [top]

Major Threat(s): This snail is threatened by habitat degradation caused by invasive alien plant species (e.g., Cinnamomum verum).

Conservation Actions [top]

Conservation Actions: This species is present at low densities in Morne Seychellois National Park. The main population on Silhouette island should be protected, and invasive species should be controlled throughout the Seychelles islands. Research is needed into the species' life history and ecology.
