Range Description:This species is endemic to Colombia where it occurs in the Upper Atrato River basin (Maldonado-Ocampo et al. 2012). Its type locality is Quebrada Chaparraidó, an affluent of Ichó River in vía Tutunendo-San Francisco de Ichó, Upper Atrato, Munic. San Francisco de Ichó, Chocó Department (Román-Valencia 2000).
