Has an extent of occurrence of <100 km² and an area of occupancy of <10 km², known from a single location and there is almost certainly a continuing decline in habitat extent and quality. Hence qualifies for listing as Critically Endangered. Should this species be found at further localities, then the assessment may need to be changed.

Habitat and Ecology: A tree growing in dry scrub and riverine coastal forest.

Major Threat(s): Does not appear to be in any protected area, but if it is, they are not effectively protected. There is selective logging (especially of Pterocarpus), loss of habitat due to agricultural expansion (crops) and general logging for charcoal production.
