Listed as Least Concern. There is little information on the ecological requirements of the species, however it does appear to have a fairly large extent of occurrence (approximately 57,000 km2) and is found in a variety of habitats.

Range Description:This species is known from a few localities in southeastern Nigeria and western Cameroon. In Cameroon, it has been recorded from Tinta, Mamfe; Bibundi Crater, Mount Cameroon; Mount Nyasoso, and Bambili volcano craters in the Bamenda Highlands. In Nigeria, it is known only from Okpuje.
