Range Description: Melitta tomentosa shows a very narrow distribution. It is mainly recorded from the region of Istria, close to the borders of Slovenia, Italy and Croatia (Warncke 1973, Michez and Eardley 2007). The extent of occurrence (EOO) is 1,289 km² and the area of occupancy (AOO) is 24 km².
