Habitat and Ecology:	Habitat: Open sand and muddy bottom in backwaters, large rivers with moderate current. Biology: Males reproduce for the first time at 1-2 years, females at 2-3. Migrates from river mainstreams to backwaters to spawn. Nocturnal, benthic, feeding on small invertebrates.
