Justification:
Only known from only one locality in the Upper Kwanza River system. No obvious threats are known. Data are scarce. A larger distribution is expected in Angola. More comprehensive surveys are required to confirm the true extent of its distribution. Last survey in the 1940's (Poll 1967).
