| Habitat and Ecology: | Labeo lineatus is a benthopelagic species. It inhabits lakes and larger rivers (Eccles 1992). Labeo lineatus is lives over mud bottoms close to sand banks. The adults are often captured over sandy bottoms in deep water (Tshibwabwa 1997). |
