Scientific Name: Labidochromis mathotho
Species Authority: Burgess & Axelrod, 1976
Taxonomic Notes: This species was described by Burgess and Axelrod from an unspecified location, however especially for "mbuna" it is important to specify locations when identifying species. The holotype of this species closely resembles subadults of Labidochromis gigas Lewis 1982. This observation has yet to be proved (Konings 1990).
