Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology: Occur above submerged rocks. Numerous at 10 m depth. A benthic feeder, feeding on molluscs. Females occur in groups over the sand whilst breeding males select small territories in the rocks and sand. Known as "Sulphur Head Aulonocara" in the aquarium trade.
