Justification: Endemic to Malawi where it is restricted to two locations: Lake Chilwa and its tributary, Likangala river (inflowing river), and Lake Chiuta. It also experiences extreme fluctuations in extent of occurrence and area of occupancy as Lake Chuita levels drop in drought years. |
