Justification:
Endemic to the Rusizi River where it is restricted to the rocky fast flowing stretches of the river. It has an extent of occurrence <100 km² and area of occupancy <10 km² both of which are declining in quantity and quality due to increased water turbidity due to erosion on watershed.
