Justification:
Endemic to the Malagarasi River where it is restricted to marginal areas of reeds and swamps. With an extent of occurrence less than 5,000 km² and area of occupancy of less than 500 km², known from a single location and habitat declining due to siltation following farming extension the species qualifies as Endangered.
