Justification:
Restricted extent of occurrence in Lake George and the Kazinga Channel (extent of occurrence is less than 5,000 km²). Although it is not known if the current population is declining, there is a future potential for decline through water pollution in Lake George from the mining activities in Kasese District (Dunn 1989, Ogutu-Ohwayo et al. 1997).
