Justification: Restricted extent of occurrence in Lake George and Kazinga Channel where the water pollution potential to Lake George from mining activities in Kasese District presents a potential threat to the species (Dunn 1989, Ogutu-Ohwayo et al. 1997). Nearly qualifies for Endangered under criterion B1.
