Reviewer/s: Snoeks, J. (Freshwater Fish Red List Authority) & Darwall, W. (Freshwater Biodiversity Assessment Programme)
Justification:
Restricted distribution in Lake George (surface area of 260 km²) and the Kazinga channel with potential lake-wide threats from water pollution from the mining activities in Kasese District (Dunn 1989, Ogutu-Ohwayo et al. 1997). Qualifies as Vulnerable on account of restriction to a single location that could, in this case, be impacted by water pollution.
