| Habitat and Ecology: | This species lives in relatively deep water having been caught at 80 m. It is known to be a mouthbrooder and is adapted to life at considerable depths off rocky slopes. Possibly localised to the southern end of lake. A protrusable mouth forms a suction tube as an adaptation for feeding on pelagic zooplankton. Spawns on a rocky surface. |
