Species Authority:	Wildekamp & Berkenkamp, 1979
Synonym/s:	Nothobranchius jubbi
Taxonomic Notes:	A record of N. guentheri (Pfeffer, 1893) from the Tana River by Mann (1968) is most likely a misidentification for N. jubbi since N. guentheri is confined to Zanzibar Island.

Range Description:	This species is known from Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya. Eastern Africa It is found in seasonal pools northwards of Malindi and in the lower Tana drainage, Kenya. Northeastern Africa It occurs near Dur e Kalin, Whar near Kaisany, near Shalanbod, Somalia, as well as the Wabishebelle system, Ethiopia
