Listed as Endangered because its Extent of Occurrence is less than 5,000 km2, all individuals are in fewer than five locations, and there is continuing decline in the extent and quality of its habitat at Cundinamarca (Colombia).

Range Description: This species is known only from the vicinity of the type locality: Municipio de Pandi, in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia, at 1,300m asl. It is likely to occur a little more widely than is currently known.

Population: It is an uncommon species.

Habitat and Ecology: It is found in low vegetation in riverine forest areas, and breeds by direct development.

Major Threat(s): Habitat destruction and degradation caused primarily by agriculture (involving the cultivation of crops and livestock farrming) is the major threat, and the habitat is now severely fragmented.

Conservation Actions [top]

Conservation Actions: There are no protected areas within its range, and there is an urgent need to protect the habitat at its only known locality. Further research is needed to help document the full range of this species.
