Range Description: This species ranges from Cariacica in the State of Espírito Santo, north to Nova Vicosa in the southern part of the State of Bahia, eastern Brazil. It is a lowland species, occurring up to 60m asl.

Population: It is believed to be common, but it is a secretive species that is hard to detect.
Population Trend: Decreasing

Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology: It is a species of lowland forests, including secondary forests, not occurring in open habitats. It lives in leaf-litter on the forest floor. It has also been observed in temporary ponds inside the forest, where it is probably an explosive breeder.

Major Threat(s): The major threats are probably related to habitat loss due to agriculture, logging and human settlement.
