Justification: Listed as Least Concern in view of its relatively wide distribution, presumed large population, and because it is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a more threatened category.

Range Description:	This species ranges from the central and eastern cordilleras of Panama to the Pacific lowlands of Colombia as far south as the lower River Anchicaya. Its recorded altitudinal range is 160-800m in Colombia, perhaps higher in Panama.

Population:	It is considered to be common at some sites.

Habitat and Ecology:	It is a terrestrial species of humid lowland forest. The eggs are deposited on the forest floor, and the adults carry the larvae to plants (leaf axils, usually bromeliads) for development. It is associated with mature forest, and probably does not survive in degraded habitats.
