| ANIMALIA | CHORDATA | AMPHIBIA | ANURA | DENDROBATIDAE |
| Scientific Name: | Colostethus latinasus |
| Species Authority: | (Cope, 1863) |
| Taxonomic Notes: | Specimens reported by Savage (1968) from the Serranía de Darién, Panama, are not conspecific with this species and probably represent an undescribed species. It is doubtful whether or not the lost Colombian holotype of Colostethus latinasus was conspecific with the Panamanian neotype and specimens that agree with the neotype have yet to be found in Colombia (Grant 2004). |
