Justification: A vine endemic to the western Andes of Ecuador, where it is known only from the type, collected in 1918 in the Río Chanchán valley, near Huigra, in Chimborazo province. The area's natural vegetation has been heavily disturbed. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known. |
