Justification: A terrestrial aroid endemic to Ecuador, where it is known from a single collection in Coaja Peñanegra, Imbabura province, in 1904. One of the many Anthurium species described by L. Sodiro that are now nearly impossible to identify, due to various taxonomic problems. Considered Data Deficient until its taxonomy is clarified. No specimens of this species are housed in Ecuadorian museums. Habitat destruction is the only known threat to the species. |
