Range Description: Known from at least twelve localities (groves) in the Piute Mts., Greenhorn Mts. and Kern Plateau area.

Population: The largest of the groves is approximately 200 ha in extent. Total area of occupancy is certainly less than 100 km², but the total number of mature individuals probably exceeds 1,000 trees.
