Justification:
Bulimulus rugiferus is endemic to Santa Cruz and Santiago Islands in the Galápagos Islands. It was not found alive over the past three years of collecting on Galápagos Islands. However, only one month was spent collecting on Santiago Island, so the species' presence may have been overlooked.

Population: It has not been recorded in recent collecting on Galápagos Islands. However, neither Santa Cruz nor Santiago Islands were surveyed extensively surveyed, therefore it may have been overlooked.
