Range Description: The species is found throughout Panama from Darién, extending into Colombia, to the border with Costa Rica, possibly extending over that border as well. The only known Colombian population is restricted to a very small area.

Population: In places it is relatively common but never abundant.

Major Threat(s): Outside national parks the species is under pressure from mining for copper and gold, as in Cerro Colorado, and from increasing settlement of the land in Coclé.
