Habitat and Ecology: An important timber tree known from open pine woodlands.

Threats [top]

Major Threat(s): High levels of exploitation have resulted in populations being reduced to very low levels in the Philippines. In Sumatra the timber continues to be extracted. The effects on the population here are yet to be confirmed but are not thought to be as severe.
