Range Description:	Apparently endemic to the site where the capital city of Cuba was built, this tree was described from the area of Regla at the eastern side of Habana Bay more than a century and a half ago.

Population:	A wide area of several kilometers around the harbour has been cleared and urbanized. There is very little chance of rediscovering the species.
