Range Description: This species is known only from the type series collected in Kimanika cave, Kouilou, in the Republic of Congo (Aellen and Brosset, 1968; Csorba, Ujhelyi and Thomas 2003).

Population: It is known only from ten specimens held in the Paris and Geneva museums (Aellen and Brosset 1968), and may be naturally rare, however, this requires confirmation.

Habitat and Ecology: The natural history of this species is poorly known. It was collected roosting in a cave, and is suspected to occur in tropical moist forest, however, further field surveys are needed to confirm this.
