| Taxonomic Notes: | Eschmeyer (1998, 2004) and FishBase note this as being recognised a junior synonym of Aplochiton taeniatus Jenyns, 1842 by McDowall (1971 and 1987), but it was recognised as a valid species (Barra et al. 1995). |
