Geographic Range [top]

Range Description:	Aphanapteryx leguati was restricted to Rodrigues, Mauritius¹. It is known from a number of bones², and from several travellers' reports, the last of which was that of Tafforet in 1726¹. It presumably became extinct in the mid-18th century-Pingré reported that it was extinct in 1761¹.
