| Range Description: | Aphanapteryx leguati was restricted to Rodrigues, Mauritius1. It is known from a number of bones2, and from several travellers' reports, the last of which was that of Tafforet in 17261. It presumably became extinct in the mid-18th century-Pingré reported that it was extinct in 17611. |
