Justification:
This species is listed as Least Concern because of its relatively wide distribution, presumed large population, occurrence in a number of protected areas, tolerance to some degree of habitat modification, and because it is unlikely to be declining at nearly the rate required to qualify for listing in a threatened category. The species may in the future qualify for Near Threatened if current agricultural trends persist.

Range Description:	This species occurs in Argentina (between 28° and 32°S (Ojeda pers. comm.)) along the foothills and lower montane slopes of the Andes, and portions of the Monte Desert of Catamarca, La Rioja, San Juan, and northern Mendoza Provinces (Woods and Kilpatrick 2005). It is found in two disjunct areas (Ojeda pers. comm.).
