Range Description:	This species was endemic to Australia, where it appears to have ranged through much of the central and western arid parts of the country (Dixon 2008).

Population:	It is presumed to be extinct. It is known from very few specimens and remains collected at widespread localities. It was collected in Western Australia in the 1840s. The last specimens of this species were collected in 1901-1902 from the Northern Territory (Dixon 2008).

Habitat and Ecology:	It appears to have been associated with hard clay soils of arid and semi-arid areas, with a vegetation cover of acacia and eucalypt woodlands, hummock grassland, and low scrubland (Dixon 2008).
