Justification:
C. m. kolbi is found only in the Kenya highlands on the east side of the Rift Valley in the Aberdares, Mt Kenya and Ngong Hills/Nairobi. Much of its range is in protected areas (Aberdares National Park, Mt Kenya National Park and several forest reserves). It is common where found and well protected in the two national parks. At present there is no reason to believe the taxon is at risk, and it is here listed as Least Concern.
