Justification: The species is only known from the type locality, a small karstic stream (Norin stream - 10 km long) in the Neretva drainage (Croatia). It is not believed that the species is wider distributed as in similar habitat nearby other similar goby species are recorded. There is a potential threat from the water abstraction, making the species occur in only one location, however the area is currently protected in order to maintain the water quality. |
