Geographic Range [top]

Range Description: Chaetoptila angustipluma is known historically only from the big island of Hawai`i, USA, although fossil remains are also known from Oahu and Maui2. Only four specimens were ever collected, between 1840 and 18591.

Habitat and Ecology: It was restricted to montane plateau forest.
